The Department of Mechanics of the Faculty of Applied Sciences of the University of West Bohemia is organizing the 39th scientific conference with international participation COMPUTATIONAL MECHANICS 2024. The conference will be held from November 4 to November 6, 2024 at Hotel Srní, Srní, Czech Republic.

Since 2018 we have been organizing the MechCamp - Summer School of Mechanics. The last one was held on August 28-30, 2024.

The Department of Mechanics has been publishing the international journal Applied and Computational Mechanics since 2007, which has been indexed in the Scopus database since 2016.
