Research directions
Research has historically been one of the key and fundamental activities of the staff of the Department of Mechanics. Our research efforts are concentrated in specific areas, which are grouped into the research programme of the faculty research centre NTIS - New technologies for the information society at the Faculty of Applied Sciences of the UWB in Pilsen. Within these activities, we address both applied and basic research projects with an emphasis on various aspects of mechanics. The most important directions of our research can be divided into four main areas of research, which are aimed at discovery and innovation.
